UPDATE: The Manayunk Roxborough Art Center (recently awarded the 2018 Classic Towns People’s Choice award for Best Art Gallery/Workshop in Roxborough) is not moving their 10th Annual Juried Show but is keeping it at the Green Street location. Two of my Whimsical One-Liner drawings, BAD SUSHI and HALF ASS DRAWING (L-R, above) are on exhibit. A Whimsical One-Liner is a single line drawing that never crosses itself and in which the title and image together are a play on words. In the case ofBAD SUSHI and HALF ASS DRAWING, I do hope that everyone concludes that the titles refer to the subject matter of the drawings, and not to how they were executed.
I am pleased to announce that juror Anthony Casasanto has included my Whimsical One-Liner ink drawings, BAD SUSHI and HALF ASS DRAWING, in the Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center’s 10th Annual Juried Show. The Show will run from July 15th through July 22nd at their gallery at 419 Green Lane and then shift to their gallery on Ridge Avenue in Roxborough until August 22nd. There will be an opening reception from 3 until 5 PM on Sunday, July 15th. Admission is free.

I am very pleased to announce that juror Susan Irish has invited my paper collages, ON SUBWAY WALLS and …AND TENEMENT HALLS into the Tribute Show at the Fabulon Art Center in Charleston, South Carolina. The Tribute Show, which is about the relationship between music and the visual arts and particularly how music is expressed by visual artists, will run from October 6, 2017 until December 6, 2017 with a reception on October 21st from 5 until 8 PM. The Fabulon Art Center is located at 1017 Wappoo Road, Charleston, SC 29407.
I am very pleased to announce that juror Nancy Weisser, invited my stained glass/ceramic piece, ERUPTION, into the Allegany Arts Council’s HOT GLASS EXHIBITION & COMPETITION. ERUPTION will be on view at their Saville Gallery, 9 N. Centre St, Cumberland, MD from August 12th until September 2nd 2017. Cumberland MD is a delightful town and the Show reception on Saturday, August 19th was a lot of fun. In addition to juror Nancy Weisser, I had the chance to meet and talk with a number of very talented “hot glass” artists from around the country. After seeing the show I was even happier to be a part of it.
